2nd Ex-Haynes Bankruptcy Partner Joins Greenberg Traurig

Greenberg Traurig LLP said on Thursday that it has nabbed its second ex-Haynes and Boone LLP bankruptcy practitioner in a month, adding more manpower and experience to its business reorganization and financial restructuring practice.

Karl D. Burrer waved goodbye to Texas' fifth-largest firm and hello to Greenberg Traurig, where he will continue to counsel and represent debtors, creditors and other parties in large and complex restructurings, both in and out of court. He joined the firm as a partner and will practice out of the
Houston and New York offices. Burrer told Law360 the chance to join his new firm "was too good an opportunity to pass up."

The announcement of Burrer's hire comes less than a month after the firm brought aboard Lenard Parkins, a veteran bankruptcy partner who also used to practice at Haynes and Boone.

Parkins represents companies, lenders, creditors committees and other parties in both in- and out-of-court restructurings as well as transactions as a partner practicing out of both New York and Houston.
