WASHINGTON, D.C. – Nov. 2, 2017 – Financial Regulatory and Compliance Practice Co-chair Gil Rudolph, and Cybersecurity, Privacy & Crisis Management Practice Shareholder Lori S. Nugent, of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will be speaking at The Conference on Consumer Finance Law’s (CCFL) Annual Consumer Financial Services Conference, Nov. 2-3 at Texas A&M University School of Law in Ft. Worth, Texas.
The two-day conference program will focus on issues common to most financial services companies, including limited English proficiency, ADA accessibility, vendor management, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) updates, cybersecurity, fair lending, debt collection, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), among other areas. Rudolph will be moderate the panel session titled, “CFPB Development” on Thursday, Nov. 2, and Nugent will speak during the panel session titled, “Cybersecurity” on Friday, Nov. 3.
Rudolph focuses his practice on the representation of finance companies, banks, mortgage originators and servicers, retail installment transaction financers and other consumer financial service providers in regulatory, compliance, and litigation matters. He also represents various alternative financial service providers, including small dollar/short term lenders, check cashers, pawn, and auto title lenders. Rudolph additionally represents various participants in the credit, debit, and prepaid card issuance and processing industries.
Nugent focuses her practice on cybersecurity and privacy issues. She has served as lead counsel responding to and defending over 1,000 data breaches, as well ransomware situations and variety of privacy problems. Nugent has defended breached operations of all sizes in a wide variety of market sectors, including retail, health care, financial institutions, energy and utilities, public entities, hospitality, high tech, and higher education, as well as for a variety of professionals.
Nugent focuses her practice on cybersecurity and privacy issues. She has served as lead counsel responding to and defending over 1,000 data breaches, as well ransomware situations and variety of privacy problems. As a first-responder to cyber crisis situations, Lori has unique insight. Her perspective helps Cyber Incident Response Teams, senior management and boards of directors improve their organization’s cyber legal defensibility.
