Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Participate at The RemTEC Summit

DENVER- March 14, 2017 - Attorneys Hayley Easton and Jillian Kirn of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP participated as session co-chairs for the “Biological Treatment: Strength in Small Packages” track at The RemTEC Summit held in the Colorado Convention Center  March 7.

The RemTEC Summit draws leaders and key stakeholders from academia, government, and the regulatory community, as well as site owners, private consulting agencies, and various other environmental professionals. The summit delivers a unique platform focused on advancing the environmental science and remediation industry. Attendees benefit from gaining essential sources of information on technology, application, and policy impacting the restoration of contaminated sites from the world's leading experts within the academic, regulatory, and environmental-consulting communities.

Easton focuses her practice on environmental litigation matters. She counsels clients in the natural gas, petroleum, mining, development, underground storage tank, and biofuel industries in connection with civil, administrative, and criminal enforcement by USEPA and state agencies, citizen suits, as well as related compliance matters, under the Clean Water Act (CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), and numerous other federal, state, and tribal laws.

Kirn focuses her practice on environmental and energy matters. She represents clients in litigation in state and federal courts and works on behalf of developers and corporations in connection with the acquisition, transfer, financing, and sale of contaminated real estate, including complex project redevelopments and environmental liability transfers. Kirn assists clients, domestically and internationally, with the development of alternative energy projects and policy.
