Greenberg Traurig Elevates Four Attorneys in Albany Office

ALBANY – March 21, 2017 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced the elevation of Eileen M. Hayes and Robert M. Rosenthal to shareholder, and Caroline Brancatella and Benjamin M. Friedman to of counsel in its Albany office.

Hayes focuses her practice on health care, insurance, government and policy. She advises clients on insurance regulatory matters including licensure, product development, compliance, examinations, reporting and producer issues. She represents clients before the Executive Branch and State legislature. As a former DFS regulator, Eileen worked to shape policy related to the implementation of the federal Affordable Care Act in New York and, at Greenberg Traurig, remains engaged in emerging State and federal issues affecting insurance markets. 

Rosenthal focuses his practice on environmental and energy law matters, including litigation, permitting and compliance. He is experienced with the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and associated state programs, the State and Federal Superfund programs, the New York Solid Waste Management Act and the New York Public Service Law. He also concentrates his practice on the environmental permitting of energy, transportation and real estate projects, including review under the State Environmental Quality Review Act.

Brancatella focuses her practice on health care issues, including regulatory, contracting, transactional and compliance matters.

Friedman focuses his practice on health law and issues concerning managed care organizations. He has broad experience with regards to health plan contracting, provider issues, regulatory compliance, corporate and non-profit issues, and HIPAA/HITECH matters. He is also experienced at handling a variety of health care transactions, including mergers, asset purchases and other matters involving changes in control of health care entities.
