Greenberg Traurig’s Nicole Goodwin to Present “Persuasive Speech for Expert Witnesses” for the Forensic Expert Witness Association

PHOENIX – Sept. 13, 2017 – Nicole M. Goodwin, a shareholder in the Phoenix office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will present a webinar for the Forensic Expert Witness Association entitled: “A Primer on Persuasive Speech for Expert Witnesses, the Trial Lawyer’s Perspective,” Wednesday, September 20 at 1:00 p.m. PDT.

Goodwin will focus the presentation on persuasive communication skills. Participants will learn how to borrow proficiencies typically developed for the theatre and apply them in a litigation context, in communicating in the courtroom or other settings. This presentation includes a brief overview of objectivity, advocacy, pacing, use of gestures, voice projection, voice modulation, and body positioning. Moderator, John Levitske, is Senior Director of Commercial Dispute Advisory for Huron Consulting Group, a global professional services firm.

Goodwin is the managing shareholder of the Phoenix Office and chair of the Phoenix Litigation Practice. Goodwin is a problem solver whose practice emphasizes corporate governance disputes, financial services litigation, real estate litigation, post-acquisition disputes, health care litigation, and franchise litigation. She has represented public and private corporate clients in state and federal trial and appeals courts, as well as before administrative tribunals and arbitration venues.
