TALLAHASSEE, FL - Jan. 11, 2018 - Greenberg Traurig, P.A. Director of Health Care Affairs Elizabeth Dudek has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for Florida House on Capitol Hill. Florida House, which is operated as a 501 (c) 3, non-partisan, privately funded organization, serves as Florida’s embassy in Washington, D.C. Its mission is to provide educational, cultural, economic, and social resources to showcase Florida’s culture, heritage, and diversity.
The Board of Trustees of Florida House, which is the only state embassy in the nation’s capital, comprises leaders in business, culture and philanthropy statewide. The First Lady of the State of Florida, Ann Scott, serves as the honorary Chairman of the Board.
"I am very honored to be able to serve the state of Florida as a trustee of Florida House,” said Dudek, who works with Greenberg Traurig’s Health Care and Government Law & Policy Practices. “Each year, more than 10,000 people visit Florida House, which hosts numerous events and programs that showcase our state’s impressive education, business, arts, and cultural opportunities. I can’t think of a better way for me to continue to be a part of Florida’s success story.”
Dudek’s career in Florida’s state government spanned over 40 years across a variety of senior management positions including Secretary of the Agency for Health Care Administration and Deputy Secretary of Health Quality Assurance. As Secretary, she oversaw one of the largest Medicaid programs in the nation. Under her administration, the Agency successfully implemented the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care program and the establishment of the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Currently, Dudek works extensively with health care facilities, providers, and insurers.
