WASHINGTON – Nov. 2, 2018 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP International Arbitration and Litigation Shareholder Thomas G. Allen will speak at the 2018 Inter-Pacific Bar Association Regional Conference. The Arbitration Day event titled, “The Rise of Digital Economy and Alternative Dispute Resolution in ASEAN,” will be held Nov. 5 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Allen will speak at the session titled, “Importance of Arbitration for the Digital Economy and for e-Start-Up Companies in Asia.” The speakers will discuss how the explosion of the digital and e-economy throughout Asia may benefit both arbitration centers and practitioners. They will also address the challenges surrounding arbitrations concerning e-economy, including new potential problems as well as old problems of conflicts of laws and choice of law where none has been stipulated for by the parties.
