Erica Okerberg Joins the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation Advisory Council

LAS VEGAS – Feb. 21, 2018 – Erica L. Okerberg, gaming associate in the Las Vegas office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been appointed to the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation Advisory Council.

Las Vegas welcomed professional ice hockey team The Vegas Golden Knights in 2017 and the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation was established to serve as the team’s main charitable beneficiary through various fundraisers, in-game efforts, and other initiatives to engage fans. The Foundation’s Advisory Council is composed of local business and community leaders nominated by the Foundation staff and appointed by the Board of Directors to support the development, funding, and delivery of the Foundation’s charitable programs and services in a voluntary role.

Having grown up in Minnesota, Okerberg is an avid hockey fan and has a true appreciation for the positive impact hockey can have on a community. Okerberg focuses her practice on gaming law, including licensing and regulatory work; and promotional law, including sweepstakes and social gaming. Her experience includes preparing and coordinating gaming applications and gaming renewals for individuals and entities in the U.S. and international jurisdictions; representing clients during the preparation and adoption of Nevada gaming regulations; preparing materials for sweepstakes, contests, and other promotional offers; as well as counselling clients regarding social gaming and skill games.
