SAN FRANCISCO – April 23, 2018 – Members of Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s San Francisco office performed at Law Rocks San Francisco, an annual concert featuring bands of lawyers performing for local charities.
“Law Rocks is a wonderful event and we were delighted to participate,” said Michelle Ferreira, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s San Francisco office. “Not only is it an opportunity to showcase the skills of our attorneys and staff, it’s an opportunity to give back to very worthy Bay Area charities.”
Performing as “The Latent Defects,” Greenberg Traurig’s Bruce Steinert and William H. Gorrod (on guitar), Michael R. Hogue (on vocals), Sierra Fitch (on keyboard) and non-Greenberg Traurig members Matt Ball (on bass) and Chris Kriese (on drums) battled against legal talent from nine other Bay Area firms. The band raised money for the Family Violence Appellate Project (FVAP), a non-profit dedicated to appealing cases on behalf of domestic violence survivors and their children.
Held at The Chapel in downtown San Francisco, the competition raised over $100k for eight nonprofits: Bay Area All Stars, Bay Area Youth EMT Program, Blue Bear School of Music, Child Advocates, Family Violence Appellate Project, Ms JD, Rocket Dog Rescue, and St. Anthony Foundation.
