PHOENIX – June 5, 2018 – Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder Dana L. Hooper negotiated and secured an endorsement contract with Adidas for professional soccer player Merritt Mathias. Mathias was recently named to the preliminary roster for the U.S. Women’s National Team, set to compete in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
As a starter for the North Carolina Courage in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), Mathias has played all but 19 minutes of the team’s 2018 season. In 2014, Mathias won an NWSL championship with FC Kansas City, and in 2015, she was a Championship Runner Up with Seattle Reign FC.
Hooper is a sports agent, sports law attorney, and shareholder in the Phoenix office of Greenberg Traurig.
