SAN FRANCISCO – Sept. 16, 2019 – Carolyn McNiven of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will speak at the American Conference Institute’s (ACI) West Coast Conference on FCPA Enforcement & Compliance Pre-Conference Boot Camp, Sept. 24, in San Francisco.

McNiven will participate as a panelist in a session titled, “A Nuts & Bolts Roadmap for Developing and Strengthening Your Global Compliance Infrastructure.” Panelists will discuss the lengths and the limits of the FCPA, the most recent significant government investigations and settlements, how to successfully uncover potential relationships with government officials and corruption risks, how industries monitor their existing third-party relationships, and when to consider terminating a third-party relationship over bribery suspicions.

The two-day conference focuses on FCPA enforcement by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Speakers include industry leaders and attorneys in the fields of anti-corruption, compliance, and risk management. Topics will include cutting-edge risk mitigation strategies and compliance programs, and exploring the challenges of doing business in high-risk regions.

McNiven is a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s San Francisco office and member of the firm’s White-Collar Defense & Special Investigations. A strong client advocate, clients bring their most serious government enforcement problems, criminal, civil or both, to McNiven.
