Greenberg Traurig’s Mark Hichar Speaks at Public Gaming Research International’s Smart-Tech Conference

BOSTON, MA – Feb. 22, 2019 –Mark Hichar of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will speak at Public Gaming Research International’s (PGRI) “Smart-Tech” conference in Fort Lauderdale, Feb. 26-28. 

The three-day conference focuses on the public policy, regulatory, and legislative fronts of the government-sponsored-gaming industry. Attendees include lottery directors from several U.S. states and Canadian provinces, and from Germany, Australia, and Morocco, as well as representatives from major suppliers to the lottery industry.

On Feb. 27, Hichar will participate in a panel moderated by Maryland Lottery and Gaming Director Gordon Medenica exploring the DOJ’s recent opinion reinterpreting the federal Wire Act. 

Hichar, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Boston office, focuses his practice on the gaming industry, offering clients over 25 years of experience working for gaming operators, system suppliers, game developers, and gaming licensees. He has worked as both inside and outside counsel to gaming companies, and understands the need to provide clear, practical, and actionable advice. He has significant experience working with operators of casinos and lottery systems, as well as entities licensed by or contracted with domestic or foreign government gaming regulatory bodies.
