WEST PALM BEACH – March 18, 2019 – The West Palm Beach office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. hosted the 3rd Annual Young Lawyers Boot Camp presented by the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association (FMCBA) on March 16. The event included afternoon panel discussions with distinguished members of the local legal community on various topics, and attendees participated in an Interactive Advocacy Writing Workshop.
Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Phillip H. Hutchinson participated as a panel member in boot camp sessions on “Law Firm Economics and Keys to Success,” and “Effective Networking Skills.”
There was also a panel discussion on “Professional Ethics in the Era of Social Media.” Additional panel members included the Honorable Judge Cymonie Rowe; personal injury attorney Jason Williams; personal injury attorney Byrnes Guillaume; Nick Johnson, a former FMCBA president and an attorney with Cohen Milstein; Rosalyn Destinie Baker Sutton, an attorney with the Palm Beach County Attorney’s Office; Shayla Waldon, an attorney with Akerman, and John Howe, an attorney and former Palm Beach County Bar Association President.
The F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association is a voluntary bar association located in Palm Beach County whose mission since its founding in the 1970’s has been to promote the personal and professional development of Blacks in the legal profession, to educate its members and the general public about matters pertaining to the law, and promote understanding of the legal profession.
“FMCBA’s boot camp offered young attorneys the opportunity to interact with established members of the Palm Beach County legal community. They also were able to further develop their understanding of pressing issues in today’s legal practice,” said Hutchinson, a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Litigation Practice, who concentrates on commercial litigation focusing on defending corporations in complex litigation. He also has a government affairs practice in which he represents real estate developers and local businesses doing business or seeking business with the City of Palm Beach and Palm Beach County.
