Nikki Lewis Simon Recognized by ONYX Magazine as a '2019 Woman on the Move'

MIAMI – March 1, 2019 – Nikki Lewis Simon, a shareholder and chief diversity officer for global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was recognized today as a “2019 Woman on the Move” by ONYX Magazine during a luncheon at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park, Florida.

For the fourth consecutive year, ONYX Magazine and its sponsors recognized some of Florida’s most influential women of color in business, education, government, media, and nonprofit. According to the magazine, “Women on the Move” celebrates trailblazers who have made a difference in their communities.

“I am honored to be recognized by ONYX Magazine as a “Woman on the Move” and to share this honor with so many influential women in Florida,” said Simon, who is based in Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office. “Throughout my career, I have been committed to the mission of helping to advance women in their professional and personal growth, and giving back to our communities.”

Simon has been recognized in the South Florida Legal Guide, "Top Up and Comer," Florida Trend's "Legal Elite" and in Diversity Journal’s "Women Worth Watching." She received a law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami, and a Bachelors of Print Journalism, cum laude, from Florida A&M University.

As Greenberg Traurig’s Chief Diversity Officer, Simon works to strategically align the firm’s diversity and inclusion programming and initiatives with client needs, thereby serving as an integral component of the business development function on a global scale. Prior to assuming primary responsibilities on the business side of the firm, she represented her cross-industry clients’ business objectives by protecting their capital, whether human, intellectual, or financial, against claims of wrongdoing in complex commercial and class action litigation matters.
