Greenberg Traurig’s Susan Neuberg Hosts CRE Finance Council ‘She Should Run’ Event

WASHINGTON, D.C. June 14, 2019 – Greenberg Traurig, LLP Real Estate Practice Shareholder Susan E. D. Neuberg will host the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) Women’s Network “She Should Run” event June 26, 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the global law firm’s  Washington, D.C. office. The event will focus on encouraging and educating women about taking their first steps toward leadership opportunities--political or otherwise--understanding the value of women in leadership, actionable strategies to take steps toward solving gender inequality, and forming connections to other women in the CREFC Women's Network.

The mission of CREFC’s Women’s Network is to enhance the visibility, profile, and advancement of women in the commercial real estate finance industry, provide a structured platform within CREFC dedicated to women's initiatives, mentoring, and development of professional women, and provide networking opportunities.

Jarinete Santos, Political Pipeline Director of the She Should Run organization, will present an interactive discussion and activity with a networking reception to follow. Other guest speakers include: Corinne Cannon, Founder and Executive Director, Greater DC Diaper Bank; Brooke Lierman, Delegate, District 46 (Baltimore City); and Parker Hamilton Poling, Executive Director, National Republican Congressional Committee.

Neuberg focuses her practice on structuring, negotiating, and documenting debt and equity investments for major financial institutions, REITS, investment advisors, institutional, and private investors. She counsels clients in the financial services and real estate industries on complex real estate matters, debt structures, and equity joint ventures, commercial mortgaged backed securitizations, master and special servicing matters, workouts, and rating agency issues. Neuberg has wide-ranging business and legal experience in a broad array of real estate, real estate finance, and capital markets transactions, including the development and construction of mixed use and hotel projects, securitized, conventional and construction lending, syndicated and mezzanine lending, workouts, restructures, servicing of nonperforming loans, note sales, and transfers of servicing rights.

She is a frequent author and speaker addressing current issues of importance to the commercial real estate finance industry and has been an active CREFC member since CREFC’s inception.
