Fred E. Karlinsky Receives Award from Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society

MIAMI – Aug. 26, 2019 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. Shareholder Fred E. Karlinsky received the Chartrand Communications Award from the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society (IRES) on Aug. 20 during the organization’s annual Career Development Seminar.

The organization recognized Karlinsky for the “dedication [he has] shown to IRES and for the valuable difference [he has] made.”

Karlinsky moderated the Commissioners Roundtable for the fifth consecutive year at the Career Development Seminar, a two-and-a-half-day series of workshops and panels covering a broad range of topics and issues pertinent to insurance regulation. The seminar is attended by professionals who work in insurance regulation, such as consumer services, financial solvency, market regulation, producer licensing and enforcement, and compliance areas.

Additionally, Karlinsky spoke at the seminar’s “Risk-Focused Regulation: How Market and Financial Regulation Interrelate” breakout session, discussing how market conduct issues increasingly interrelate with financial condition and risk surveillance issues.

“I am honored to accept this award from an organization that continues to be a great resource for those who work in the business,” said Karlinsky, who sits on the board of the IRES Foundation as chair of the Nominations Committee. “It was my pleasure to take part in the Career Development Seminar, and I look forward to continuing my involvement in the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society.”

At Greenberg Traurig, Karlinsky serves as co-chair of the Insurance Regulatory and Transactions Practice and has more than 25 years of experience representing the interests of insurers, reinsurers, and a wide variety of other insurance-related entities on their regulatory, transactional, corporate, and governmental affairs matters.
