Howard Jeruchimowitz Named Co-Chair of the Real Estate, Condemnation, & Trust Committee of the ABA Section of Litigation

CHICAGO – Sept. 30, 2019Howard K. Jeruchimowitz, a shareholder in the Chicago office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been appointed co-chair of the Real Estate, Condemnation, & Trust Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation for the 2019-2020 bar year.

According to its website, the Real Estate, Condemnation, & Trust Litigation Committee is involved with real estate disputes and their resolution, including issues of ownership, purchase and sale, title, casualty, and land use. The committee is also focused on litigation relating to eminent domain and zoning law.

Jeruchimowitz is a commercial litigator with an emphasis in Real Estate, Construction, and Financial Services Litigation. He represents owners, developers, landlords, and tenants in landlord-tenant and shopping center disputes, mechanics liens, foreclosures, and construction disputes, as well as banks and lenders in bank and mortgage litigation, such as mortgage fraud, commercial and residential foreclosures, mechanics lien and FDCPA issues. He also represents business owners in LLC and shareholder disputes including direct and derivative claims.

Prior to becoming co-chair, Jeruchimowitz was co-chair of the Emerging Issues Subcommittee and vice chair of programming for the Real Estate Litigation and Condemnation Committee within the ABA. He also serves as the pro bono coordinator for the firm’s Chicago office.
