Anna H. Morzy to Participate in American Business Immigration Coalition Summit

CHICAGO – Nov. 30, 2020 –Anna H. Morzy, Immigration & Compliance Practice shareholder at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will participate in the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC) virtual national summit to be held Dec. 3. This year’s theme is, “Re-Igniting the Economic Engine: Immigration Solutions for 2021.” 

The summit will feature bipartisan elected officials, business leaders, and advocates, who will discuss immigration issues in 2021. Ms. Morzy will present during the session, “Future of High Skilled Immigration,” alongside panelists from HMS and Deloitte. The panelists will discuss American companies’ dependence on STEM, medicine, infrastructure, and education high-skilled immigrant workers and how restrictive changes to the H-1B program and a shortage of domestic workers have affected companies across various sectors. The discussion will also focus on the current state of high-skilled worker programs and changes that may be expected under a new administration. 

Ms. Morzy, resident in the firm’s Chicago office, has a broad background in providing legal and policy guidance on fast-evolving immigration laws, regulations, and policies, and in the development and execution of complex, industry-tailored mobility programs. With nearly 20 years of experience in her field, she has a deep understanding of immigration law and global mobility and their critical importance to businesses of all sizes and across varying industries. Her practice focuses on providing counsel to startups and established companies on the immigration compliance implications of expansions and mergers and acquisitions and on effective corporate mobility strategy. She provides multidisciplinary guidance for foreign national employees, evaluates and implements immigration policies, and seamlessly integrates effective mobility and compliance strategies with clients’ unique business models and goals.
