Linda B. Hirschson Honored by RIOULT Dance NY

NEW YORK – March 3, 2020 – Linda B. Hirschson, Chair of the New York Estate Planning Group in the New York office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, was honored by RIOULT Dance NY for her dedication and commitment to the arts and culture in New York.  The gala took place at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers on March 2, 2020.

Hirschson has been a committed philanthropist in her role as a trustee of The Alice Lawrence Foundation. An avid philanthropist for all things related to the arts, Hirschson’s enthusiasm for the vision of a community arts center and school led her and the Alice Lawrence Foundation to be one of the first investors in the new RIOULT Dance Center, which opened in 2018 in Queens.

According to RIOULT Dance website, “RIOULT Dance NY supports the creation and performance of the choreographic works of Pascal Rioult, and provides the community with an accessible and affordable center for dance and enrichment through the arts.”

“As an enthusiast of the arts, I am thrilled to receive such an honor from an organization that makes such a deep impact on the community,” says Hirschson.

In addition to Hirschson’s role with RIOULT, Barbara Kaplan, Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Global Tax Practice, is serving as co-chair of the RIOULT Dance Gala. “I am honored to have been asked to co-chair this gala and to help celebrate Linda and the extraordinary contributions she has made to RIOULT Dance NY.”

Hirschson focuses her practice on virtually all aspects of estate planning and administration and is a past member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel (ACTEC). Hirschson develops estate plans for high net worth individuals, enabling them to dispose of their assets during life and at death in a manner that meets their personal goals as tax efficiently as possible. In the course of doing so, she helps form and administer private foundations and charitable trusts. She has authored numerous articles and lectured frequently on estate planning, income taxation, and a range of other related topics.
