Cris O’Neall and Stephen Davis to Present at the Council on State Taxation 2020 Property Tax Webinar

ORANGE COUNTY, CA– Sept. 11, 2020 – Shareholders Cris K. O’Neall and C. Stephen Davis of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will participate in the Council on State Taxation (COST) – 2020 Property Tax Webinar, Sept. 15-17. The webinar will cover property tax issues and industry trends in 2020 and offer in-depth review of developments in property tax legislation and litigation throughout the U.S. Greenberg Traurig is a sponsor of the webinar.

O’Neall will speak on panel, “Discussion of Important Nationwide Property Tax Developments in a COVID-19 World,” on Sept. 15 at 2:05 p.m., EST. The panelists will cover the latest litigation, legislation and administrative developments in property tax and explain the impact based on where your company conducts its business, including potential “disaster” property tax relief from COVID-19.

Davis will speak on the panel, “Best Strategies to Use Experts and Appraisers in Property Tax Appeals,” on Sept. 17 at 4:15 p.m. EST. The panelists will address the opportunities and issues that one must consider when hiring an appraiser or other professional as an expert to support a valuation.

O’Neall focuses his practice on ad valorem property tax and assessment counseling and litigation (appeal hearings and trials). For over 25 years, he has represented a variety of California taxpayers in equalization proceedings before county assessment appeals boards, the State Board of Equalization, the Superior Court, the California Court of Appeal, and the California Supreme Court.

Davis focuses his practice on property tax counseling and controversies in the real estate, energy, oil, hospitality and healthcare industries. He litigates property tax controversies before local assessment appeals boards, superior courts, courts of appeal, and the California Supreme Court. His practice also includes participating in rule-making and other proceedings before the California State Board of Equalization.
