The panel, which offers continuing legal education (CLE) credit, will discuss “why it’s almost never too early -- or a waste of time -- to mediate a class action,” and “the problems of not bringing in and/or negotiating with all interested parties and not knowing the true costs of a proposed settlement.” It will also “show why it’s a good idea to remember the key elements of settlement during every part of the mediation, to engage the mediator afterward to resolve post-mediation issues and to realize that mutuality is the key to successful resolution,” according to the event’s website.
Citera is a nationally recognized trial lawyer representing clients in product liability, toxic torts, class actions, and other complex litigation matters in federal and state courts.
