Colleen A. Murphy Named BMAF Treasurer

BOSTON – Dec. 22, 2021 – Colleen A. Murphy, a shareholder of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Public Finance & Infrastructure Practice in the firm’s Boston office, has been named the next treasurer of the Boston Municipal Analysts Forum (BMAF).

BMAF is the local affiliate of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and is a not-for-profit association of municipal bond analysts. BMAF’s focus is encouraging professional development through discussions, meetings, and presentations and providing a forum for issues of interest to the municipal bond analyst community, according to its website.

“I look forward to working with BMAF this upcoming year,” Murphy said. “I share the values and goals of the organization and appreciate the work they do to advance the interests of the municipal bond analyst community.”

Murphy has over 25 years of experience in bankruptcy and public finance. She represents mutual fund companies, investment advisory firms, and other institutional investors in connection with their investments in tax-exempt securities, both new money and workout transactions. Murphy advises clients with respect to the purchase of high yield municipal bonds for hospitals, charter schools, solid waste facilities, and senior living facilities among other sectors.
