Nicholas E. Ballen is an associate in the Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s Chicago office. Nick has significant experience prosecuting and defending avoidance actions, other bankruptcy-related proceedings, and complex commercial suits, as well as representing committees, individual creditors, and other parties in bankruptcy cases. In addition, he has experience assisting with investigations into the financial affairs of debtors and other parties in connection with bankruptcy cases.

Prior to joining the firm, Nick spent two years clerking for the Honorable Timothy A. Barnes in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois and three years as a bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation associate at another law firm.
