Martin Bancroft focuses his practice on patent preparation and prosecution in the areas of physics, electronics, optics, and software, including both U.S. and international filings. He has worked with companies to develop patent portfolios in a variety of technical areas, including nanotechnology, energy storage, electronic devices, advanced materials, semiconductors, telecommunications, wireless communications, lasers, optics, displays, radar, medical devices, automotive technology, eCommerce, business methods, Internet of things (IOT), software, and metamaterials.

Prior to his legal career, Martin worked as a research scientist in the field of liquid crystals. He also worked at Chemical Abstracts Service in Columbus, Ohio.
