Kenny Cochran is a member of the Litigation Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s Los Angeles office. Kenny has defended clients in products liability, tort, and business litigation in more than 25 jurisdictions. Kenny’s experience includes executing fact and expert discovery, defending and taking depositions, and conducting oral arguments. Kenny has supported trial teams, drafted dozens of dispositive motions, and worked with leading industry experts in the field and on their reports. Kenny has also secured rulings from state and federal appellate courts.
Kenny joined the firm after serving as a judicial law clerk for two years in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. During Kenny’s first year of clerking, he assisted 10 district court judges under the supervision of then-Chief Judge Virginia A. Phillips with a focus on drafting tentative orders and bench memoranda for dispositive motions. For his second year, Kenny clerked for Judge Mark C. Scarsi.
In law school, Kenny worked in the international legal department of a Fortune 500 company facilitating regulatory compliance and preparing his client and outside counsel for a large-scale international arbitration involving aircraft. While classes were in session, Kenny assisted the Tennessee Solicitor General in appellate litigation. During college, Kenny implemented reforms within a collaborative Six Sigma effort among nine affordable housing agencies and their private sector partners in Washington, D.C., and served as a legal assistant to a law firm
