Maksim Y. Mints is a patent agent in Greenberg Traurig’s Boston office. Maksim helps clients get issued patents that protect their software in technology areas such as artificial intelligence, regulatory compliance, cloud computing, blockchain and crypto, health care, FinTech, medical imaging, and financial technology.
Maksim conducts invention disclosure interviews and ideation sessions with clients to draft domestic and international patent applications, and he interviews patent examiners to advance the prosecution of patent applications. Maksim also drafts responses to communications from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the European Patent Office (EPO), the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the Japan Patent Office (JPO), the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO). Additionally, Maksim can assist with litigating patents, such as by conducting source code reviews, preparing infringement contentions, preparing discovery requests and invalidity contentions, developing strategies for claim construction and Markman hearings, and consulting technical experts for the preparation of expert reports and damages experts for the preparation of damages reports.
