Helena Nathanson is a member of the Banking & Financial Services Team and focuses on structured finance. Helena’s earlier professional experience came from ABCP involving all major financial institutions and setting up of commercial paper and medium term note programmes for such institutions. From there Helena began to act for originators and arrangers in commercial and residential mortgage backed securitisations as well as structured finance transactions involving numerous other asset classes such as diamond, credit card, and assisted living receivables. Helena has also been involved in sales of non-performing loans, restructuring and repackaging of debt, as well as having considerable experience in restructuring via schemes of arrangement. While Helena has a focus on corporate trustees and agents, she finds herself representing arrangers in bespoke financings time and time again.
