Martina is a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Mexico City office and focuses her practice on energy, environmental, and real estate projects.

She has participated in several transactions providing regulatory and compliance legal assistance to clients in the oil and gas, electricity, wind, solar, and other renewable sources industries, as well as in the real estate and construction sectors.

Prior to joining the firm, Martina spent several years working for a Mexican law firm where she provided legal advice to clients on regulatory, urban development, environmental, and social impact matters that resulted award-winning transactions.

Experience

  • Advised multiple clients on water issues, including assistance in the processing of concession titles for groundwater use, construction and assignment of wells, and processing of permits before the corresponding authorities for the discharge of wastewater, among others °
  • Participated, as a member of a team, in the regularization on environmental and energy matters of several renewable energy generation plants.°
  • Advised a client in the regularization on environmental and energy matters of several wind farms, for the financing under a project finance scheme.°
  • Advised a company regarding environmental and regulatory matters related to the use of ports in Mexico.°
  • Advised a client in the bidding process carried out for Mexico City’s Eco-Bikes.°
  • Legal advice to a municipality on regulatory matters and urban development, environmental, and social impact. These projects were named "American Solar Deal of the Year" by the PFI awards and were awarded in Mexico's first action after the energy reform.°
  • Legal assistance in the IMMEX Registration obtention for several national and international companies.
  • Assisted a petroleum company in the legal assistance to obtain the authorizations for a 52 km long cross-border gas pipeline (USA-MEX).°
  • Assisted an energy company with consulting on the construction and operation of the multi-award-winning photovoltaic park.°
  • Legal assistance for the sale of a mayor hotel chain in Cancun.°
  • Legal assistance for the development of the construction and operation of Cancun's newest shopping °
