  • Bilta (UK) Limited (in liquidation) and Ors v Tradition Financial Services Ltd - Representing Tradition Financial Services Ltd, one of the world’s largest interdealer brokers, in defending a claim for dishonest assistance brought against various financial institutions following on from complex MTIC VAT fraud which took place in the EUA carbon credit market in 2009. Appealed on an expedited basis against a High Court ruling which dismissed the defendant’s application to adjourn the trial in early 2021. Following the Court of Appeal ruling allowing the adjournment, the trial is now expected to take place in early 2022.
  • Representing a group of investment advisors in defending a claim made by their former employer, a private wealth manager, for dishonest diversion of funds.
  • Representing an asset management company in a dispute centered upon the correct interpretation of an agreement entered into with an investment management company.
