David A. Walker focuses his practice on patent and trademark prosecution, patent litigation, and related intellectual property matters. David’s experience in energy industry related technologies, includes seismic acquisition equipment and methods, seismic data processing, inversion and imaging methods, gravity and magnetic data processing, geophysical data analysis and interpretation, drilling and reservoir data analysis, non-linear dynamics of physical processes, oil-field equipment and production technologies, unconventional hydrocarbon extraction, enhanced oil recovery, drilling and downhole tools, completion and production engineering, well log analysis and process automation. David represents major oil industry clients in litigation, licensing, and mergers and acquisitions.

He is also experienced in dealing with freedom-to-operate opinions, patent post-grant proceedings, MSAs, negotiation and client advocacy, trademark acquisition and enforcement, trade secrets protection, contract and non-disclosure agreement enforcement, and international employment matters. Prior to becoming a lawyer David worked as a geophysicist for a major integrated oil company supporting the development of oil and gas assets in the United States and internationally.
