PHILADELPHIA, PA (Oct. 20, 2014) – The Israel Technology Conference, to be held in Philadelphia Oct. 27-28, has garnered an impressive set of sponsors. The international law firm of Greenberg Traurig, which serves as the key sponsor of the conference, has announced it will be joined by the City of Philadelphia, Comcast Corporation, Drexel University, the Philadelphia Israel Chamber of Commerce, and Israel Advanced Technology Industries in presenting the unique event.
The conference will allow a select group of Israeli companies an opportunity to meet with leading corporations from the Philadelphia region. The mission of the conference is to give these companies the opportunity to explore strategic partnerships and expansion of their business. The conference will focus on healthcare IT and media / communications. The Israel Technology Conference is a direct result of Mayor Nutter's trip to Israel in November 2013.
Greenberg Traurig was instrumental in arranging meetings with Israel’s leading venture capital funds where a conference in Philadelphia was proposed. Chemi Perez, one of Israel's leading venture capitalists, will attend the Philadelphia conference.
“Greenberg Traurig has been an incredible partner for the City of Philadelphia in organizing the Israel Technology Conference in Philadelphia,” said Mayor Michael A. Nutter. “Along with a wide range of local partners, Beth Cohen, David Gitlin, and their team have done an outstanding job in promoting Philadelphia to Israeli companies and highlighting opportunities for Philadelphia businesses and organizations with these exciting companies. Our goal is to showcase Philadelphia as a gateway to the United States and to deepen the relationship between our city and the State of Israel.”
