Greenberg Traurig Launches New Emerging Technology Blog

BOSTON — Dec. 18, 2014 —The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has launched its latest blog, Emerging Technology Views, which provides entrepreneurs and early stage companies a forum to stay abreast of technology news, trends, and strategies to help their ventures succeed. Blog editors are Chinh H. Pham and David Gitlin, who are co-leaders of the firm’s Emerging Technology Group, and contributing bloggers are attorneys from the practice. The blog covers a variety of topics from business formation to seeking investment, IP protection to labor and employment issues, hot spots of innovation to event highlights, and more. Pham is co-leader of the firm’s Emerging Technology Practice Group and co-chair of the Boston office’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. He is a registered patent attorney with particular experience in the strategic creation, implementation, and protection of intellectual property rights for high technology clients. Pham assists technology companies with strategies for leveraging their IP portfolio for high-value commercial opportunities, introducing them to funding sources, either through the venture community or the government, as well as identifying and establishing strategic alliances. Pham serves as an attorney-in-residence at Harvard Innovation Lab, a MassChallenge mentor, and a member of the Board of Overseers at the Museum of Science, Boston.

Gitlin is co-leader of the firm’s Emerging Technology Practice Group. He focuses his practice on corporate and securities, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, technology development, and corporate finance. Gitlin represents both U.S. and foreign venture capital funds, and has handled numerous technology development transactions, including licensing, distribution and joint venture agreements, as well as collaborations between industry and academia. He has structured more than 200 M&A deals, more than half of which have been cross-border transactions involving leading businesses in Finland, India, Israel and Sweden, among others. He has represented U.S. clients in the purchase or sale of businesses in more than 15 countries.
