PHILADELPHIA, PA (August 25, 2014 ) – David G. Mandelbaum, of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, has been named Philadelphia’s Lawyer of the Year for Environmental Law in the 2015 edition of Best Lawyers in America. The recognition is awarded to just one lawyer in each practice area and metropolitan area annually. Mandelbaum, Co-Chair of the firm’s National Environmental Practice, was also listed for his work in Litigation-Environmental and Water Law.
Mandelbaum represents clients in Superfund matters, particularly contaminated sediment and natural resource damage issues. He represents natural gas exploration and production companies, midstream providers, and landowner coalitions in connection with development of the Marcellus Shale and other natural gas resources. He regularly handles permit appeals and citizen suits under the water pollution, air pollution and solid waste laws.
