Greenberg Traurig’s Government Law and Policy Practice to Lead High-Level Discussion on Advanced Transportation and Infrastructure

LOS ANGELES – July 1, 2015 – International law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP’s Los Angeles office and the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation’s (LAEDC) e4Mobility Alliance will co-host the interactive conference discussion, “Government Law & Policy, Politics and Intellectual Property for Advanced Transportation and Infrastructure” Thursday, July 9. The event will take place at Greenberg Traurig’s conference center in Century City and will focus on government affairs and technology development in the advanced transportation and infrastructure industries of California.

The discussion will be led by recent California legislature leaders and Sacramento shareholders Darrell Steinberg, former president pro Tem of the California Senate, and Roger Dickinson, former California State Assemblyman. Jeff Joyner, Los Angeles IP and Government Affairs shareholder and co-chair/co-founder of the LAEDC e4 Mobility Alliance, as well as Jean-Paul Buchanan, of counsel in the Los Angeles office and former staff director to Steinberg during his time in the Senate, will also be speaking at the event.

“There is a significant transformation underway in California’s infrastructure and transportation systems, and we are at the cusp of witnessing incredible advances in technology that will improve the lives of many Californians,” said Steinberg, chair of Greenberg Traurig’s California Government Law & Policy Practice.

In addition to addressing transit and infrastructure-related development, the panelists will also speak on public-private partnerships, economic development and job growth, aggregating new technology and intellectual property, and the implications of autonomous vehicles and ride sharing on corporations and real estate developers.
