The annual ranking honors the top 50 rising stars from international law firms whose practice focuses on Latin America. In making its selection, editors of Latinvex recognized Lopez and Conde for their “scope and prominence of work” and “future potential” across the region.
The list includes partners, associates, and counsels from 37 different law firms. The rising stars are based in the United States, as well as in London, Mexico City, São Paulo, and the Cayman Islands.
“I am pleased to be recognized by Latinvex for my legal contributions in Latin America. Latinvex’s recognition of both Enrique and me is confirmation of Greenberg Traurig's outstanding reputation in Latin America for providing clients with the highest quality of advice and legal service,” said Lopez, who serves as a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Latin American and Iberian Practice and the Miami Corporate and Securities Practice. Lopez also oversees the Foreign Law Clerk Program for Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office.
“I am honored to be recognized by Latinvex. This is not only a personal achievement for Mark and me, but also a testament to Greenberg Traurig's leadership in Latin America, and I look forward to our continued success throughout the region,” added Conde, who also serves as a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Latin American and Iberian Practice and the Miami Corporate and Securities Practice.
Their recognition is one of many recent honors for Greenberg Traurig's Latin American and Iberian Practice. At the Chambers and Partners’ Latin America Awards for Excellence, the firm was named “Corporate/M&A Law Firm of the Year – International Counsel in Latin America.”
Lopez focuses his legal practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, private equity, and corporate financings throughout Central and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, and the United States. He is proactively involved with clients assisting them to grow their businesses.
Conde focuses his legal practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate financings, joint ventures, and all types of general contractual matters throughout North, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Europe. He also advises Latin American and European companies doing business in the United States.
“This award is a well-deserved recognition of Mark’s and Enrique’s achievements in Latin America,” said Yosbel Ibarra, co-chair of the Latin American and Iberian Practice. “They both continue to advance our commitment to the region to a new level of excellence. The firm, our clients and the legal community have all benefited from their dedication and top quality work.”
