Greenberg Traurig Continues to Bolster its Corporate & Securities Practice with Addition of Trevor J. Chaplick in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON – April 6, 2016 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to bolster its corporate and transactional capabilities with the addition of Trevor J. Chaplick as a shareholder in its Washington, D.C. office. Chaplick joins Greenberg Traurig’s Corporate & Securities Practice on the heels of Todd E. Bowen, Christopher R. Machera, and Adam S. Tope in New York City and Christopher P. McHugh in Washington, D.C. Before joining the firm, Chaplick was a partner in Proskauer Rose LLP’s Corporate Department.

Chaplick focuses his practice on representing technology and growth companies, underwriters, private equity firms, and venture capital funds in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, and public offerings, as well as in general corporate and securities law matters. He has represented numerous public and private companies in merger and acquisition transactions, and he has represented issuers, underwriters, and investors in numerous public offerings.

Chaplick has significant international experience, having structured public and private acquisitions and investments in many countries, including the UK, China, Denmark, Germany, India, France, South Africa, Switzerland, Belgium, and Canada. He has represented numerous companies in raising capital from institutional investors across many industries, including software, communications, the Internet, alternative energy, entertainment and media, semiconductors, health care, and biotechnology.

Described in Chambers USA by clients as “meticulous and having multiple talents . . . with fantastic knowledge, depth and experience” and “he will find a way forward for you,” Chaplick has been practicing corporate law for over 25 years. Recognizing this experience, Chambers USA has consistently ranked Chaplick in its annual survey for Corporate/M&A & Private Equity in Washington, D.C.  He has also consistently been ranked annually in Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers and in Best Lawyers in America. The Legal Times recognized Chaplick as one of “D.C.’s Top Deal-Making Attorneys.”

Chaplick earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School, where he was Editor-In-Chief of the Virginia Tax Review. He earned his B.S., with distinction, from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
