NEW YORK– June 6, 2016 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP recently made two strategic hires in its New York Corporate & Securities Practice with the addition of shareholders Audry X. Casusol and Richard C. Kim. Before joining the firm, Casusol and Kim practiced at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, respectively.

“We’re delighted Audry and Richard have joined the firm during this strategic time of growth in our New York Corporate Practice,” said New York Shareholder Alan Annex, deputy chair of the Global Corporate & Securities Practice. “We pride ourselves on the ability to forecast client needs and to then proactively recruit talented attorneys who strengthen and add depth to our New York and global practice. Audry’s executive compensation and benefits experience is a huge asset to our clients and Richard’s borrower-side leveraged finance and private equity experience further strengthens our existing capabilities.”

Casusol focuses her practice on executive compensation and employee benefit matters, primarily in the context of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, initial public offerings, restructurings, spin-offs, and other significant corporate transactions. Casusol received her J.D., cum laude, from Duke University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from North Carolina State University.

“Clients rely on law firms who can build teams to quickly and efficiently address their legal needs,” said Casusol. “Greenberg Traurig’s multidisciplinary platform does just that and I am excited to offer clients this unified and comprehensive service.”

Kim represents private equity sponsors, public and private borrowers, lead arrangers, and lenders in connection with syndicated and bilateral loan financings, including senior secured financings, first lien and second lien financings, unsecured financings, investment grade financings, acquisition financings, and bridge financings. Kim received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.S., with honors, from Cornell University.
