Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Participate in Copyright Career Conversations

ATLANTA – Oct. 17, 2018 – Sabina A. Vayner and Álvaro Arce, attorneys at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will participate in a program to be held by the Southeast Chapter of the Copyright Society of the USA (CSUSA) from 4-6 p.m. October 18 in Atlanta. Vayner will moderate and Arce will speak on a panel titled “Copyright Career Conversations: Copyright & Entertainment Law in the Southeast.” The panel will focus on panelists’ career paths and their personal experiences practicing copyright and entertainment law in the Southeast. Panelists will also discuss trending and relevant copyright issues.

According to its website, CSUSA is a nonprofit organization established in 1953, devoted to copyright law awareness and education. With headquarters in New York City and over 1,000 members nationwide, CSUSA’s mission is to foster interest in, and advance the study and understanding of, copyright law in literature, music, art, theater, motion pictures, television, computer software, architecture, and other works of authorship, and their distribution through both traditional and new media.

Vayner, of counsel in the firm’s Atlanta office, is co-chair of the CSUSA Southeast Chapter and represents brand owners and creators across a broad spectrum of industries in trademark, copyright, and advertising litigation, enforcement, and counseling matters. She has experience litigating federal trademark, copyright, false advertising, and trade dress infringement actions, and regularly represents clients in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She also advises clients on minimizing the risk of disputes, including those involving copyright and trademark clearance and portfolio management, advertising review, social media, and right of publicity.

Arce, an associate in the firm’s Atlanta office, focuses on negotiating digital music distribution deals on behalf of service providers, social media platforms, and emerging tech clients. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Arce served in various legal roles at SoundCloud, MixRadio, and Warner Music Group.
