2 Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Elected to the NCVAA Executive Board

BOSTON, MA – Aug. 31, 2018 –Chinh H. Pham, chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Emerging Technology Group, and co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Group in Boston, was voted President-Elect of the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys (NCVAA) for 2018-2019. His election was announced during the NCVAA 12th Annual Conference, Aug. 3-4, 2018, in Atlanta, GA. Pham will serve as President-Elect for the 2018-2019 term, after which he will assume the role of NCVAA President for 2019-2020.

Additionally, Greenberg Traurig attorney Sonia Nguyen was re-elected to serve as NCVAA Treasurer for the 2018-2019 term. Nguyen was previously the Treasurer of NCVAA for the 2017-2018 term and also served as a member of the 2018 Conference Organizing Committee.

At the 2018 conference, Pham moderated the panel, “Getting on the Path to Partnership: Personal Stories and Practical Advice,” during which law firm partners shared perspectives on how they achieved their goal of partner elevation. Speakers ranged from recently elevated partners to senior equity partners, and hailed from small to AmLaw 100 firms.

Pham advises technology clients and assists them in leveraging their IP portfolio for high-value commercial opportunities, as well as connecting them to funding sources and industry leaders for strategic collaborations. He is a mentor to entrepreneurs and start-ups through many incubator and accelerator programs, and serves as an attorney-in-residence at Harvard’s Innovation Lab and Northwestern The Garage, where he advises student entrepreneurs on their business ventures. Pham is a council member and executive committee member of the Boston Bar Association, and chair of the Board of Overseers, Boston Museum of Science. In addition to his work, Pham routinely engages law students at Boston area schools and volunteers his personal time to serve as a mentor to many young attorneys.

Nguyen focuses her practice on health care related legal issues, including regulatory compliance, licensing, billing, insurance, contractual matters, and transactions. Her clients have included Academic Medical Centers (AMC), other hospital systems, physician practices, national retail pharmacies, research organizations, and pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.

The NCVAA is the first ever national Vietnamese American bar association and promotes the professional development of individuals and supports legal issues to the Vietnamese American community.
