Greenberg Traurig Elevates 3 Attorneys in Washington, D.C. Office

WASHINGTON, D.C.  —  Feb. 28, 2019 — Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP elevated Dawn Ellison to shareholder as well as Nicholas N. Palmer and Shomari B. Wade to of counsel. All three attorneys reside in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig announced the elevation of 32 attorneys to shareholder and 27 to of counsel in more than 20 areas of legal practice. The firm, which earlier this year opened its 30th office in the United States and 39th worldwide, also reported a fifth consecutive year of record revenue of more than USD $1.55 Billion, an increase of USD $80 Million over 2017.

Ellison is a litigator with broad experience in complex commercial litigation, including environmental, products liability, mass tort/toxic tort, employment, insurance and class action matters. She has a depth of experience with all aspects of discovery, including work with experts, taking and defending depositions, motions practice, trial preparation and settlement negotiation. In addition, Ellison has developed a particular concentration on e-discovery issues, including the management of all aspects of e-discovery in cases involving voluminous data and documents, focusing on the development, implementation and supervision of proper and efficient methods for preservation, collection, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI).

Palmer focuses his practice on commercial real estate and hospitality matters. He represents clients in connection with the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and leasing of office, retail and mixed-use buildings. Palmer also represents clients in connection with the acquisition, disposition, management, franchising, licensing and branding of hotels and resorts. He regularly prepares and negotiates various real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, hotel management agreements and numerous other documents in connection with the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, management and leasing of real property.  

Wade focuses his practice on government contracts and maintains an active litigation practice which includes bid protests and claims before the Government Accountability Office, Court of Federal Claims, Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, as well as various Federal and State Courts. He works in small business programs such as SBA 8(a), HUBZone and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. His practice also includes contract formation work, including negotiating of teaming agreements, forming joint ventures and developing small business subcontracting plans.   Additionally, he assists clients with corporate due diligence reviews and special financing transactions under the Assignment of Claims Act.
