TALLAHASSEE – March 12, 2019 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. has added attorney Timothy F. Stanfield as Of Counsel to the Government Law & Policy Practice in the Tallahassee office. He will focus his multi-disciplinary governmental affairs practice on assisting clients with matters involving Florida’s legislature, cabinet, and state agencies.
Stanfield currently concentrates his practice in the areas of sovereign immunity, government appropriations, transportation and highway safety, insurance, law enforcement, education, and health care. He has more than 10 years of lobbying experience and his insights have been published several times in Appleman’s On Insurance; AM Best’s Review; ABA Committee News; Property Casualty 360; and Professional Insurance Agent Magazine.
Stanfield has played a key role in a diverse range of Florida legislation, and maintains working relationships within state agencies, including the Department of Financial Services, Office of Insurance Regulation, Department of Economic Opportunity, Department of Transportation, Department of Health, Agency for Health Care Administration, and the Department of Management Services.
In addition, Stanfield has represented clients in the expanding hemp industry, including the Hemp Industries Association of Florida, the leading non-profit trade association consisting of hundreds of hemp businesses.
He has served two terms on the 2nd Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee, and is the founding member and serves on the Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy Committee with The Florida Bar.
