Greenberg Traurig advises Commodus on the acquisition of an office complex in Berlin

Greenberg Traurig advised the private equity investor Commodus on the purchase of an office complex on the former AEG site near Brunnenstraße in the centre of Berlin. The purchase was made possible by the majority takeover of the shares of a closed public fund. The purchase price is confidential.

This purchase encompasses the eastern half of the office building, which is approximately 60,000 square meters and includes a car park with 1,640 parking spaces. Commodus had previously purchased the western part of the area at Gustav-Meyer-Allee 3 in 2018. Together, the entire complex comprises a rental area of 120,000 square meters.

Greenberg Traurig advised Commodus on all aspects of the transaction under German law.

Background: Greenberg Traurig previously advised Commodus on the purchase of the western part of the Berlin office complex. The private equity investor is a long-standing client of the firm.
