David G Mandelbaum Joins Suffolk University Law School Adjunct Faculty

BOSTON – Dec. 31, 2020 – David G. Mandelbaum, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Global Environmental Practice, will teach “Environmental Litigation: Superfund” as an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School in Boston in the spring 2021 semester. The course will cover legal and tactical issues that arise in litigating for or against the government and among private parties, problems of settling those cases, ways in which the administrative process interacts with private litigation, and techniques for mitigating risks in the buying and selling of real estate or a business.

Mandelbaum, a shareholder in the firm’s Boston and Philadelphia offices, represents clients facing issues with environmental laws, where litigation concerning contaminated sites is the largest single component of his practice. He has served as lead counsel for parties alleged to be responsible for some of the sites that the government considered its most significant. He has tried enforcement, allocation, and contractual misrepresentation concerning those sites.

A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, Mandelbaum serves as a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers and is an adjunct professor at the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia. He frequently writes and speaks on Superfund and other environmental law topics.
