Hank Greenberg and Ed Wallace Recognized on City & State’s ‘New York City Law Power 100’ List

NEW YORK – March, 31, 2020 – Henry M. Greenberg, president of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Albany office, and Ed Wallace, co-chair of the firm’s New York City office, were recognized on City & State’s New York City “Law Power 100” list. They were recognized at a reception on March 10 in New York City.

City & State’s Law Power 100 list recognizes “New York’s most influential lawyers, identifying and ranking New York’s legal leaders based on their achievements, track record and sway in political and policy matters.”

Greenberg has been active with the NYSBA for more than 20 years before becoming president in June 2019. In addition, Greenberg serves on several professional committees and has leadership positions in other bodies. He is counsel to the New York State Commission on Judicial Nomination, which nominates New York’s Court of Appeals judges; chairs the Third Department Judicial Screening Committee and the New York State Fair Advisory Board; and is a member of the State Judicial Screening Committee, Judicial Task Force on the New York State Constitution, and the State Commission on the Restoration of the Capitol. He is also vice chair of statewide programming for The Historical Society of the New York Courts.

From 2012 to 2014, Wallace was chair of New Yorkers for Parks and now sits on the NY4P Board. Wallace serves as vice chair and counsel to the Citizens Budget Commission and is the vice chair of the French American Foundation Board. Most recently, Wallace was recognized as a Lifetime Achievement winner by City & State. Last year, City & State ranked Wallace 12th on its “Manhattan Power 50” list and on its “New York City Power 100,” “New York Law Power 50,” and “New York Real Estate Power 50” lists. He has been listed in multiple editions of The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, and is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell. Wallace serves as a trusted advisor to his clients. In addition to his representation of Columbia University, NYU, and Fordham University in their Manhattan expansions, he has advised Extell, Silverstein, Fetner Properties, and other leading developers and financial and media companies in obtaining government approvals. Wallace also advises Hornblower, the City’s ferry provider, and serves as outside national counsel to JCDecaux, the world’s largest street furniture company.
