Christopher Lapp represents insurance companies and other institutional investors in U.S. and cross-border private placements of corporate securities, including project finance and real estate finance transactions. He focuses his practice on both secured and unsecured transactions and his recent experience includes transactions in the United States, England and Australia. Prior to joining the firm, Christopher was an associate in the London office of an international firm, where he advised foreign clients on U.S. securities laws.



  • Advised the banks (led by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Davy and Deutsche Bank) on the IPO on the London and Irish stock exchanges of Allied Irish Banks.°
  • Advised Lonmin on a $407 million rights issue.°
  • Advised Danone S.A. on the offering of US$5.5 billion aggregate principal amount of notes under Rule 144A under the Securities Act to refinance the bridge facility entered into by Danone in connection with its acquisition of the WhiteWave Foods Company.°
  • Advised United Bank for Africa on its debut $500 million international bond issuance.°
  • Advised the arranger and underwriters on Duncan Funding 2016-1’s issue of notes linked to residential mortgage loans.°
