Jamie Marr focuses his practice on U.S. business immigration and compliance matters. He has broad experience representing domestic and multinational corporations in a full range of employment-based non-immigrant petitions and visa applications (E-2, H-1B, L-1A/B, O-1, TN, etc.) as well as immigrant petitions and permanent residence applications (PERM Labor Certification, Multinational Managers and Executives, National Interest Waivers, Adjustment of Status, etc.).


  • Temporary nonimmigrant visas, including: E-2 visas for treaty investors; H-1B visas for professionals; L-1 visas for intra-company transferees; O-1 visas for individuals with extraordinary ability; and TN visas and work authorization for professionals under NAFTA
  • PERM-based immigrant petitions
  • Immigrant petitions for multinational executives/managers, and individuals of extraordinary ability



  • Represent multinational corporations in the energy, technology, and engineering sectors transferring employees to the United States, and domestic companies hiring foreign nationals to work in the United States.°
  • Advised corporate clients on immigration implications of personnel transfers, new hires, and corporate divestitures.°
  • Represented senior executives before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services as part of the Adjustment of Status interview process.°
