Ann Motl leverages her mechanical engineering background in her products liability practice, defending products for drug and medical device manufacturers. She devises and provides technology strategy to her clients in many areas including discovery, witness interviews, corporate deposition preparation, and expert witness work. Ann also has experience in eDiscovery and assists her clients with identification, collection, review, and production of documents. She manages nearly all aspects of the discovery process for her clients.

Ann is committed to advancing the profession through diversity, leadership, and pro bono service. She is a founding member of the Minnesota Disability Bar Association, the second state affinity bar association in the country dedicated to legal professionals with disabilities. She is also involved in the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association where she serves as a committee co-chair. Ann has represented pro bono clients in Social Security disability appeals as well as housing and habeas matters while working with the Minnesota Chapter's Pro Se Project, the Volunteer Lawyers Network, and Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid.

  • Drafted and argued motion obtaining dismissal of affirmative defenses and counterclaim on behalf of employer in a breach of confidentiality agreement case.°
