GCPA 3rd Annual Mexico Electric Power Market Conference

The Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA) is having its 3rd Annual Mexico Electric Power Market Conference on Wednesday, May 16th in Mexico City. The Master of Ceremonies for the full day conference is Miami Shareholder, Robert Downing. Topics include market design user issues, CFE retail tariffs, auction results, new transmission siting and ownership issues and project finance for new generation capacity.

Mexico City Shareholder, Pedro Resendez is a panelist for Session IV - New Transmission Siting and Ownership Issues. This panel will discuss the Baja and Oaxaca projects. There is about $10B in transmission investment identified to modernize the grid. The topics included are whether there will be private participation, CFE and how the grid will adjust for renewables.
