3D printing technology raises important legal questions

The future of production technology has officially arrived in Tallahassee. This summer, Railroad Square's Domi Station Business Incubator opened with available 3D printer expertise. Florida State University's Facility for Arts Research offers a variety of 3D printer technologies and 3D printer building classes are available at Tallahassee's "Making Awesome" workspace.

Using 3D printing – known in the production world as "additive manufacturing" – a consumer can "print" phone cases, lamps and other goods at home through "Thingiverse" and other websites providing ready-to-print 3D designs.
