Greenberg Traurig Shareholders James Boudreau and Robert Goldich to Speak at ABA’s 9th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference

PHILADELPHIA – Nov. 4, 2015 – Shareholders James N. Boudreau and Robert M. Goldich at Greenberg Traurig, LLP will speak at the American Bar Association’s (ABA) 9th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference, Nov. 4-7, in Philadelphia. In addition, Goldich is a member of the conference’s host committee and Greenberg Traurig is a sponsor of the event.

On Thursday, Nov. 5, at 3:45 p.m., Goldich will be speaking on the panel, “Compensable Time Under the FLSA in the Wake of Busk v. Integrity Staffing Solutions.” The panel will discuss the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling. Attendees will hear from those involved in the litigation regarding the Court’s decision, the impact on off-the-clock litigation under the FLSA, and the viability of state law causes of action post-Busk.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, at 9:30 a.m., Boudreau will be speaking on the panel, “Compensable Time in the Digital Age.” The panel discusses employees’ digital foot prints, what is compensable time, and the effect of all of the timestamps in the digital age.

According to the ABA website, this conference concentrates on the cutting-edge issues in the labor and employment area. The annual conference features prominent speakers, an agenda covering all aspects of the labor and employment practice, and ample networking opportunities.

Boudreau, shareholder and chair of the Labor & Employment Practice’s Class and Collective Action Group, represents management in class action and complex employment litigation and devotes the majority of his practice to managing teams of attorneys and paralegals in nationwide class and collective actions from receipt of the complaint through discovery, class certification, and trial. He also has significant first chair experience in restrictive covenant/trade secret litigation, having handled such matters in jurisdictions throughout the country.

Goldich has more than 35 years of experience as a labor and employment lawyer and litigator representing employers in all aspects of labor and employee relations, including general employment counseling, employment contract negotiation, collective bargaining negotiations, labor arbitration, and the representation of employers in administrative and courtroom litigation. Goldich has developed a national practice in the areas of ERISA and wage and hour class action litigation. He has represented the defendants in six different ERISA class actions, involving amounts in dispute in excess of 1 billion dollars.
